2009-09-09:
After a little break in the work with the module, I continued today by cutting the large pieces of masonite that will be aligned along the track. Some smaller pieces will be needed aswell, but those will be meassured and cut after the large ones are in place.
Before attaching the masonite, the tracksides needed to be painted, so that was done aswell

2009-08-29:
All track laid.
The electrics is done aswell, so the module can now technicly be used, but not very safe if an derailment occurs, it's a long way to the floor...
Next step will be to cut the masonite. But that might will take some days before it's done as other activites will have higher priority right now.

2009-08-28:
Setup the module again, in the workarea this time.
Drilled holes for alligment dowels after adjusted the sections for best position possible.
Hopefully will that make it easier to set up the module and get the track position correct.

On section 2, the first piece of flextrack is laid, and wires for the power prepared.

2009-08-26:
Did a testsetup and the sections matched well.
Painted black where the track will be, trying to not paint over the centerline.
Main reason for painting is to avoid the wood shine in the gap between the rail and the wood that will cover the ties later on, as there will be no ballast.

2009-08-26:

The frame for section 2 is now assembled.

This section has only one crossbeam as only one leg is needed as section 2 can share one leg with section 1 that got two legs.

2009-08-24:
Cut the material for the frame for section 2.

2009-08-22:

Tested the planned concept: attaching the track in the middle of the module, create the streetlevel by attaching 3mm masonite along the edge of the track and cover the ties with balsa wood.

2009-08-21:
The beams are in place and the plywood where the track will lay on are attached to the frame and beams.
Discovered that I somehow had made an error when measure the center of the ends, making the bultholes shifted 10 mm sideways. New holes drilled and the old ones plugged.

Next I will add two support beams for the "trackstrip". Those beams will also be used for attaching the legs.

2009-08-15
Started to cut plywood for the first section of two for this module.
The module will consist of a straight piece of track of 2m, that goes thru the mainstreet of a litte city. The track will be surrounded by shops and other buildings and parked cars and traffic near by the track. The track itself will go in the road, so cars can run there when no train is passing.
